The story follows a group of human survivors who lead a rebellion against the Psychlos, led by their ruthless leader, Terl (played by John Travolta). The film explores themes of resistance and liberation as the human characters fight to reclaim their planet from the alien oppressors.
Battlefield Earth was highly anticipated but received overwhelmingly negative reviews upon its release. Critics cited numerous issues with the film, including its plot, special effects, and performances. The film was criticized for its incoherent storyline, poor dialogue, and uneven tone. Despite its ambitious scope, it was considered a critical and commercial failure.
