“Falling Skies” (2011) is an American science fiction television series created by Robert Rodat and produced by Steven Spielberg. The series stars Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, and Sarah Carter.


Set in the aftermath of an alien invasion that has devastated Earth, “Falling Skies” follows a group of survivors who are part of a resistance movement fighting against the extraterrestrial invaders, known as the Skitters.

The story focuses on Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), a former history professor who becomes a key leader in the fight for humanity’s survival. Tom, along with his sons and other members of the 2nd Massachusetts (2nd Mass) Militia, navigate the challenges of living in a post-apocalyptic world while battling the alien threat.


The series explores themes of survival, family, and resistance as the characters face both the alien menace and the hardships of life in a ravaged world. The Skitters, along with their more powerful allies known as the Mechs, present constant danger, leading to intense battles and strategic maneuvers.
