Slither (2006)

Slither is a horror-comedy film directed by James Gunn. The story unfolds in the small town of Wheelsy, where a meteorite carrying a parasitic alien organism crashes to Earth.

The parasite infects local resident Grant Grant (Michael Rooker), transforming him into a grotesque, slug-like creature. As Grant mutates and begins infecting other townspeople, a group of survivors, including Grant’s wife Starla (Elizabeth Banks) and Police Chief Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion), must band together to combat the rapidly spreading alien infection.

Blending elements of body horror, dark humor, and suspense, the film explores themes of survival and the grotesque transformations caused by the alien parasite.
