“Greyhound” is a 2020 war film directed by Aaron Schneider and starring Tom Hanks.

The movie is based on the 1955 novel “The Good Shepherd” by C.S. Forester. Set during World War II, it follows the journey of a US Navy commander, Ernest Krause (played by Tom Hanks), who leads an Allied convoy across the treacherous North Atlantic while being pursued by German U-boats.

The film primarily focuses on the intense naval battles and the psychological toll of command during wartime. Tom Hanks not only stars in the film but also wrote the screenplay.
