Lucifer (2016–2021) is a fantasy crime drama television series developed by Tom Kapinos, based on the DC Comics character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg. The show originally premiered on Fox and later moved to Netflix, where it gained a dedicated fanbase.
The series follows Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis), the Devil, who becomes bored with his life as the ruler of Hell and decides to retire to Los Angeles. There, he opens a luxurious nightclub called Lux and indulges in a life of pleasure and hedonism.
